Q: Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette? Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day?
A: We always knew we wanted to have a destination wedding. Both Johnny and I love traveling, exploring new places and cultures, and eating all of the food! We are also very of beach vacations, so we thought Cabo offered a good mix of everything we like. And the weather there is almost always fantastic. We tried to incorporate some local flair in the wedding, such as having local maracas be the wedding favor.
Q: Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?
A: We loved the setting at the Villa Clara Vista. The views were stunning and the white villa with the blue pool made it picturesque. I like to keep a lot of natural colors, so we opted out of having linens on the tables. I was able to get crafty and create many pieces of the wedding myself, including the wooden Welcome sign, the wooden seating chart, and all of the place cards.
Q: What were the florals like in your wedding? Did you use flowers in any of your design elements like the bridal bouquets, centerpieces or ceremony backdrop? Did they play an important part in the overall style of your wedding?
A: My wedding incorporated a lot of greenery, from the bouquets and table decor to the green wall for the photo booth. I had some flowers, but wanted to focus on have lots of lush, leafy, greenery in the bouquets. It looked great against the white Villa and the natural wood table tops.
