We were both living and working in Nashville when we met. I was working as a Recruiter for a staffing agency and worked with a few of Matt’s friends from high school. We ended up crossing paths after a work outing and the rest is history.
Weddings
Alyn came to me and said that she had a flat piece of grass on a large property and we had less then 45 days to plan her wedding and she quickly needed my help. It was important to the couple to not only create a beautifully designed wedding, but to create an amazing experience for their guests.
Because of the covid, Revanui and Sebastien had to change their initial plan to get married on another island of French Polynesia. They choosed the private island of Tahiti called Tetiaroa and celebrate their love at the Brando Resort, a luxurious hotel named that way because the island. This island belonged to Marlon Brando.
Once their families changed their mind about eloping, they had to decide where to host their wedding. Joey is from Oklahoma and Stephanie is from California, so their families weren’t in the same location. So, if people were going to have to travel for the wedding, they wanted their guests to travel to a fun location that had a lot to offer. Then it hit them – New Orleans.

Abby was reporting on a 2A playoff baseball game in May of 2019. The team she was covering came back from a 9-1 deficit and scored 8 runs in the bottom of the 7th. She was filming and updating on Twitter and the game was retweeted by other reporters in Dallas and Waco. Derek saw one of the posts and followed Abby on Twitter. She followed him back! He immediately messaged her and their relationship started from there! (Side note: they have very differing, very humorous stories on how quick the “follow back” was). They became “official” on June 15, 2019.

New York City means so much to us as a couple, it is where we went on our first date, got engaged, and have spent so many incredible nights together. Chris having played for the New York Giants and me growing up in the Tri State area, we couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect city to host our guests. Tribeca Rooftop was the most amazing wedding venue for our quintessential New York City event. It blended our Nigerian and Italian cultures beautifully.
